The Chapel
If it’s coffee you are after then you cannot go past The Chapel. They roast their own coffee on site and it is my favourite brew around. The coffee is to die for and the staff are super friendly; the food is pretty amazing too! It is always busy so well worth booking if your after a table. You can do so via the website link below.

Andrew and his crew at this local craft brewery truly know how to reflect the spirit of our region. From the passion for their craft, their community spirit and their drive to create the best place to, as they say “catch up, wind down, romance, celebrate and debate”. It will not disappoint. Bayviews
Maybe your are after something a little bit fancy. Ann and Kurt have been running this beautiful restaurant since 2009. Situated on Burnie’s West Beach, the location really adds to the feel. Treat yourself to a fine meal or enjoy casual drinks in the lounge bar as you relax watching the waves role in.
The Vault
Once an old Bank in Wynyard now a feast for the senses. Derek and Penny have beautifully brought this old building to life as a cafe, bar and restaurant. By day it is a quirky cafe and by night a sophisticated bar and restaurant. They showcase beautifully the amazing local produce Tasmania is known for.
The Foreshore
This one is our “go to” for the best fish and chips and they do a pretty good breakfast as well. Located on West Beach in Burnie, you cannot beat watching the sunrise over the Bass Strait with your morning coffee or if your lucky watching the whales at play. Themis and Lakia are so welcoming and always keeping the menu fresh and exciting.
Penguin Beer Co.
It is the location that makes this taphouse extra special. Taste their range of local craft beers, wines and ciders. All while you enjoy front row seats to the Bass Strait, over looking the Penguin Beach. They also offer delicious burgers, tacos and snacks.
